Caterpillar Defense has received a potential six-year, $65M contract from the U.S. Navy to perform service life extension efforts for civil engineering support equipment used at Naval Base Ventura County in California.
Scope of support under the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract will include work on special military construction apparatus, plant facility machinery and power production equipment, the Department of Defense said Friday.
Contract work is initially scheduled to run through August 2020 and may extend through February 2025 if the service branch exercises an option. The Navy will obligate funding at the award of individual orders.
Caterpillar Defense offers engines, power generators and earth-moving machinery for military and government clients.
