Collins Aerospace has secured a five-year, $44.4M firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract to deliver very high frequency and ultra high frequency standard rack-mounted receiver and transmitter radios and related accessories to the U.S. Navy.
The service branch intends to replace legacy radio systems at tactical training facilities across the globe as part of the Systems Replacement and Modernization Program, the Department of Defense said Thursday.
Contract work will take place in Iowa and the Pentagon expects Collins Aerospace to complete all tasks by August 2024. The Navy will obligate $2.6M fiscal year 2019 working capital and other procurement funds for the contract.
