Aberdeen Standard Investments’ Bonaccord Capital Partners division and global investment firm Wafra each bought passive minority interests in AE Industrial Partners, a private equity firm focused on the aerospace and defense sectors. The investments will support its workforce and growth efforts and have no effect on its daily operations, AEI said Wednesday.
David Rowe, a managing partner at AEI, said the funding will help the firm in identifying new growth opportunities that build on the company’s 34 acquisitions over the past four years. The other additional terms of the transactions were not disclosed.
Kirkland and Ellis LLP was AEI’s legal counsel while Colchester Partners LLC served as its advisor for the transactions. Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver and Jacobson LLP served as Bonaccord’s legal counsel.
