Northrop Grumman has landed a spot on DiversityInc’s annual Top 50 Companies for Diversity for the 10th year in a row.
The aerospace and defense contractor said Thursday it moved to the 17th position in the 2019 list from 23rd in the previous year and took first place in specialty rankings for veterans and people with disabilities.
It is the third time that DiversityInc recognized Northrop’s initiatives to support veterans and the fourth year that the firm topped the Disability Equality Index.
“At Northrop Grumman, we remain steadfast in our commitment to embrace all dimensions of diversity and inclusion so this recognition is particularly meaningful,†said Kathy Warden, president and CEO of the company.
Northrop also joined the top 10 firms on the ranking lists for employee resource group program, executive diversity councils and philanthropy.
DiversityInc issues the Top 50 list every year, recognizing top companies in the U.S. that prioritize diversity and inclusion management, including hiring, retaining and promoting women, minorities, people with disabilities, LGBT individuals and veterans.
