Boeing has received a potential three-year, $56.7M contract to provide integrated logistics, engineering and program management services during the post-production phase of the T-45 aircraft life cycle.
The company will also provide special tooling and test equipment for the trainer jets as well as help the Navy access data and address support obsolescence under the cost-plus-fixed-fee, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract, the Department of Defense said Monday.
Work is expected to conclude by January 2022 and also includes the provision of subject matter expertise in environmental control systems, onboard oxygen generation systems integration and cockpit pressurization.
The Navy and Marine Corps use T-45 jets to conduct intermediate and advanced pilot training on jet carrier aviation and tactical strike missions.
