The Joint Commission has given DLH a Gold Seal of Approval that certifies the quality and safety of the company’s clinical healthcare operations.
The Atlanta, Ga.-based healthcare firm said Tuesday it was selected for its healthcare staffing services in support of the Department of Veterans Affairs’ Consolidated Mail Outpatient Pharmacy program.
DLH went through onsite reviews that ensure its compliance with industry standards developed by the Joint Commission’s standards body.
The commission evaluated DLH’s clinical staff, its performance monitoring procedures and its data collection and retention processes as part of the assessment.
“Healthcare staffing services certification demonstrates our commitment and accountability to clients and the healthcare professionals we employ. This certification helps us to establish, define, and measure key functional areas of performance applicable to the entire industry,” said Kevin Wilson, president of DLH’s health and logistics services division.
The VA CMOP effort previously received an award from J.D. Power for having the highest customer satisfaction score compared to similar commercial programs.
