NASA will host an industry day at the Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Md. on Dec. 6 to present technologies from the agency’s satellite servicing projects division.
A FedBizOpps notice posted Tuesday says the SSPD event, which is the third that NASA announced for this year, is part of its efforts to help private sector organizations commercialize avionics and robotic arm software, tool drive platforms, fluid transfer systems and cooperative servicing aids.
The agency plans to directly transfer a rolling portfolio of hardware and software through agreements such as a patent licensing deal.
NASA also looks to offer commercial entities access to its programmatic, operational and technical services for satellite servicing via technology demonstration projects.
These efforts include the development of a Restore-L system to refuel spacecraft, Robotic Refueling Mission 3 and Raven navigation tools.
