Concurrent Technologies Corp. received an “outstanding technical achievement” award from the National Armaments Consortium and the Defense Department‘s Ordnance Technology Consortium at a ceremony that took place April 11 in Arlington, Va.
The consortia recognized CTC’s ammunition manufacturing approach that seeks to decrease the total cost of ownership and production footprint, elevate performance levels and reduce the weight of prototype ammo cases, the company said Tuesday.
Ed Sheehan, CTC president and CEO, said the company’s technical staff and project manager have worked to develop a manufacturing technology that he believes can support DoD and the commercial sector.
The company has been collaborating with the U.S. Army to further develop ammunition and related systems.
