Esri has received authority-to-operate certification from the Interior Department to provide cloud-based spatial analytics support to U.S. federal clients.
The company said Monday its ArcGIS Online service offering obtained ATO under the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program for availability on the FedRAMP Marketplace and deployment in Amazon Web Services‘ and Microsoft‘s cloud environments.
Jack Dangermond, founder and president of Esri, said the company seeks to help government organizations obtain and secure location intelligence data.
ArcGIS Online is designed to comply with the General Data Protection Regulation and the International Organization for Standardization’s 27k standards.
Federal customers can access global maps, information, field tools and workflow-specific applications through the mapping and analysis platform.
Esri’s platform obtained Federal Information Security Management Act “low” ATO status three years ago.
