Barbara Selter, vice president of health services at Maximus, and Nancy Shanley, VP of consulting and policy analysis at the Reston, Va.-based government services contractor, are scheduled to speak at the three-day Medicaid Managed Care Congress that kicked off Monday in Maryland.
Selter will lead a discussion titled, “Automating Long-Term Services and Supports Financial Eligibility and Reducing Fraud,” which aims to tackle how states use automated systems to determine asset transfers through financial transaction analysis and track unreported assets, the company said Monday.
Ocrolus President Victoria Meakin will join Selter in the discussion.
Shanley will serve as a moderator of the panel discussion “Utilizing Waiver Programs to Treat Complex Populations for Better Outcomes†at the conference.
Panelists include Tonya Hales, assistant division director of Medicaid and health financing for the Utah Department of Health; and Stephanie Muth, state Medicaid director for Texas Health and Human Services.
The Medicaid Managed Care Congress seeks to gather representatives from managed care associations and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services and state Medicaid directors to discuss the impact of state and federal policies on the managed care sector.
