PAE has joined a consortium of companies, nonprofit organizations and academic institutions with the goal to develop technology platforms designed to counter weapons of mass destruction.
John Heller, PAE CEO, said in a statement published Thursday the company seeks to collaborate with providers and gain access to new technologies as a member of the Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction Consortium.
The group works to help government agencies accelerate research, development and procurement processes through the “other transaction” agreement with the Joint Program Executive Office for Chemical and Biological Defense.
Several traditional and non-traditional contractors, small businesses, nonprofits and universities compose the alliance.
Heller added PAE aims to establish relationships with other organizations in a push to drive the company’s efforts to compete for government programs such as the Joint Enterprise Research, Development, Acquisition and Production/Procurement Program.
