The partnership of Cubic‘s global defense business and Federal Resources will provide training systems to the U.S. Air National Guard under a contract worth more than $6 million.
ANG ordered 95 PRISim Suite PortableTrainers that will include scenario customization software and recoil and less-lethal weapons and devices, Cubic said Monday.
Dave Buss, president of Cubic Global Defense, said PRISim is designed to hone users’ marksmanship and judgment skills.
Buss added the contract marks a first win for the Cubic-Federal Resources alliance.
The partnership will help field the trainers at all ANG bases in an effort to help the federal military reserve organization train security forces personnel to handle weapons.
PRISim Suite features Cubic’s L750 training platform that employs interactive videos, a game-engine platform and Microsoft‘s Surface Pro tablet controller.
