The Drug Enforcement Administration plans to negotiate a potential one-year, sole-source contract for continued linguistic services with SOS International to support DEA field divisions in the Caribbean, Miami, New Orleans, Washington, D.C. and nearby regions.
The contract includes a three-month base period and three options of three months each, the Justice Department said Monday in a special notice through the Federal Business Opportunities website.
DEA intends for the sole-source contract to allow sustained support until the award of a competitive contract through the General Services Administration‘s Comprehensive Linguistic Analytical Support Services schedule can be made.
The GSA schedule provides spots for 29 contractors that include SOSI.
GSA’s Comprehensive Linguistic Analytical Support Services includes the collection, translation or interpretation and delivery of mission-related data; Title III monitoring, transcriptions and intercepts and linguist security clearances.
DEA will accept a response from SOSI until May 1.
