Jason Cowie, formerly global partner and channel sales manager at Zerto, has been appointed vice president of global channels at HyTrust.
Cowie will oversee the Mountain View, California-based information technology firm’s effort to establish a global network of partners to provide a platform designed to protect critical workloads in both public and private cloud environments, HyTrust said Tuesday.
He will also help advance the company’s Cloud Security Policy Framework that works to help organizations automate the development and implementation of security policies across cloud-based workloads.
John De Santis, chairman and CEO of HyTrust, said Cowie’s experience in global sales, channel development, product positioning, alliances, sales readiness and go-to-market strategies will help the company deliver on its mission.
Prior to Zerto, Cowie previously served as VP of global channels and alliances at Virtual Instruments.
He also held senior leadership roles at Configuresoft, NetIQ, DriveProtected and Microsoft.
“As the public sector embraces multi-cloud strategies to accelerate digital transformation, it is imperative for customers to implement a set of cloud security policies that protects sensitive information and data,” said Craig Abod, president of Carahsoft, which acts as HyTrust’s master government aggregator.
“We have been a HyTrust partner for many years and are excited with the appointment of Jason Cowie to help drive the next level of growth across our mutual partners,†Abod added.
