Leidos will continue to provide engineering services for ground processing of NASA spaceflight cargo under a potential $159 million contract the agency originally announced in mid-September.

The Cargo Mission Contract 3 covers the use of multiple technology platforms for the company to pack cargo NASA would send to the International Space Station, Leidos said Thursday.

Angie Heise, a Leidos group president, said the company aims to deliver sustained engineering and pressurized cargo packing services that support missions of the agency’s Johnson Space Center to and from the space station.

The company will also provide support for hardware design, crew equipment certification, transport, ancillary system hardware and payload facilities related to the ISS’ transport operations under CM3.

Leidos added it will help NASA identify methods to simplify back-and-forth cargo processes at domestic and international launch sites.
