Julie Mehan, former Femme Comp Inc. principal cybersecurity analyst, has been appointed as MetroStar Systems‘ new director of cybersecurity strategy and alignment as part of that company’s push to expand its cybersecurity capacity and thought leadership.
MetroStar Systems said Tuesday Mehan, a 35-year cybersecurity veteran, will oversee the company’s efforts to boost its service portfolio as well as help customers address insider threats and other cybersecurity challenges.
“Julie’s professional experience and knowledge in the industry will be instrumental in further developing our cybersecurity business unit,” said Ali Reza Manouchehri, MetroStar Systems CEO and co-founder.
“Julie is well aligned to our goal of analyzing the changing threats in the cyber landscape, and creating a set of products and services for our clients to acquire, develop, and sustain secure information environments that go beyond technology.”
Mehan previously held various roles with the University of Maryland University College, the nonprofit Warrior to Cyber Warrior, Lunarline, Booz Allen Hamilton, EWA Information & Infrastructure Technologies, U.S. Army Europe and U.S. Army forces in Berlin.
