Cynthia Shelton serves as area vice president of special program sales at CenturyLink‘s government business segment.
Shelton has led the company’s federal sales team for intelligence, energy, justice, homeland security and cybersecurity programs since she joined the company in May 2015.
She also has over three decades of experience within the Intelligence Community and nearly two decades of combined service in the U.S. Air Force and Air Force Reserves as an intelligence officer.
Before CenturyLink, Shelton led CJ Shelton Consulting, as CEO and held the roles of vice president of the enterprise mission solutions line of business within General Dynamics‘ advanced information systems sector and VP and operations manager at Science Applications International Corp.
She also worked as associate at Booz Allen Hamilton and technical staff manager at GTE.
Shelton currently is a member of the Women’s Leadership Committee for the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Washington.
She holds a bachelor’s degree from the U.S. Air Force Academy and a master’s degree in strategic intelligence from the Joint Military Intelligence College at Bolling Air Force Base in Washington.
