Science Applications International Corp. has been named as one of the Defense Logistics Agency‘s top performing industry partners for 2015 in recognition for its work on various DLA supply chain and logistics programs.
The company said Monday it was one of 42 companies selected for the distinction under the Defense Department‘s Superior Supplier Incentive Program.
SAIC received the gold-level supplier ranking based on its Contractor Performance Assessment Reports System ratings for the last three years.
Linda Messano, senior vice president and general manager of SAIC’s DoD agencies and commands customer group, said the award acknowledges the company’s efforts to continually deliver products and services in support of the country’s warfighters.
“We are proud of our employees’ commitment to serving our customers’ missions and recognize their hard work in achieving this award,” she added.
SAIC’s projects for DLA include the the Tailored Logistics Services for Maintenance Repair and Operations, Tires Successor Initiative, Anniston Army Depot and Red River Army Depot Industrial Product-Support Vendor, the U.S. Navy’s Fleet Readiness Centers Industrial Prime Vendor and supply chain support for chemicals, packaged petroleums, oils and lubricants.
The Superior Supplier Incentive Program is an extension of DoD’s Better Buying Power Initiative that aims to provide contractors with incentives based on their performance, quality and business relationships during projects.
