Sonya Sepahban, formerly senior vice president of engineering, development and technology at General Dynamics’ land systems business unit, has joined the board of directors of Novi, Michigan-based automotive systems and components supplier Cooper Standard.
“Sonya brings a unique combination of technology and innovation expertise with strong financial acumen, extensive operational experience and demonstrated leadership skills, making her an extraordinary asset to our board of directors,” Jeffrey Edwards, Cooper Standard chairman and CEO, said Thursday.
Prior to General Dynamics, Sepahban spent more than a decade at Northrop Grumman, where she held various leadership roles including chief technology officer, systems engineering and integration VP and sector VP for mission excellence.
She also worked at NASA’s Johnson Space Center for eight years and served in management and technical roles.
Sepahban is a member of the board of directors of genomic analysis software provider Genomenon, vice chair of Cranbrook Institute of Science’s board of governors and a Michigan Angel Fund investment committee member.
