IBM has named Bob Lord, former AOL president, as chief digital officer, Re/code reported Sunday.
Arik Hesseldahl writes the appointment was announced internally on Monday in a company statement circulated to employees which said Lord will oversee IBM’s digital operations and ecosystem.
Lord left AOL six months after Verizon bought the internet company, Re/code noted.
Prior to joining AOL, Lord served as CEO of web advertising company Razorfish.
