Donald Friedman, formerly a vice president and general manager at IBM, has been named to the board of directors at Datawatch.
Friedman’s appointment brings the total number of the Massachusetts-based visual analytics firm’s board members to nine, Datawatch said March 9.
Richard de Osborne, board chairman at Datawatch, said Friedman’s insights could help the firm improve its marketing strategy for its Monarch platform in the self-service data preparation market.
During his time at IBM, Friedman served as a member of the strategy executive council, senior management group and the worldwide marketing operations board.
He founded International Flex Technologies and served as its CEO.
Friedman also held senior leadership roles at other technology companies such as CA Technologies, Sequel and Datalytics Technologies.
