Warren Boley Jr., formerly president of Aerojet Rocketdyne, has been appointed to succeed Jon Andre Lokke as president and CEO of Norsk Titanium.
Boley is also a member of NTi’s board of directors and will oversee the Norwegian company’s efforts to establish a U.S.-based three-dimensional printing facility to manufacture titanium aerospace and defense components, NTi said Monday.
The more than 30-year industry veteran previously led the military engines business at Pratt & Whitney.
He told Reuters in an interview that the company aims to cut the time it takes to produce titanium structures with the company’s direct metal deposition technology.
NTi expects to receive certification from the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration for its DMD technology by the end of this year, according to Reuters.
