Jayne Friedland Holland, chief security officer at NIC Inc., has been promoted to executive officer at the Olathe, Kansas-based company.
Harry Herington, NIC CEO and chairman of the board, said Thursday Holland’s placement on the executive team will help the company to continuously prioritize the security of eGovernment systems and services it develops and provides for U.S. federal and state agencies.
“Beyond Jayne’s cybersecurity expertise, I value the legal counsel and strategic vision she has shared over the years, making her an obvious choice to join our executive team,†Herington added.
Holland previously served as associate general counsel for eight years at NIC before being promoted to CSOÂ in 2013.
As the company’s security chief, she oversees NIC’s compliance with Payment Card Industry standards and security assessments of internal infrastructure.
She also handles technology and legal operations associated with the company’s online services and secure payment systems.
