David Walker, a former head of the U.S. Government Accountability Office, has joined the public sector practice of PWC US as senior strategic adviser.
“We’re pleased to welcome Dave to PwC and look forward to working together to help clients address their most important issues, from strategy through execution,” Scott McIntyre, PwC’s U.S. public sector practice leader, said Thursday.
Walker served as the seventh U.S. Comptroller General and led the Peter G. Peterson Foundation as president and CEO.
He is also the founder of the Comeback America Initiative, a nonprofit organization that promoted strategies to address fiscal imbalance at the federal, state and local levels.
He currently serves on The Public Company Accounting Oversight Board’s advisory council, chairs the Government Transformation Initiative and is a fellow at the National Academy of Public Administration as well as at the National Academy of Social Insurance
Walker will work at PWC’s McLean, Virginia, office.
