Mariano Alicea Jr. serves as vice president for strategy and business development at Exelis, a role he has held since October 2014.
Previously, Alicea was senior VP of corporate development at Sabre Systems and held responsibility over the company’s diversification, marketing and partnering strategies in the government and commercial sectors.
He also oversaw business development at TASC from 2009 to 2013 and held leadership positions at Northrop Grumman, Verizon and MCI.
Alicea has spent eight years as a program manager at the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration before he moved to the private sector.
He is also a member of the Air Traffic Control Association and serves on the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association’s homeland security committee and on the Aerospace Industries Association’s air traffic systems committee.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and computer science from Princeton University.
