Mike Brown serves as vice president and general manager of the global public sector practice at RSA and leads the business’ work with the federal, state and local governments in the U.S. and public sector agencies abroad.
The retired U.S. Navy rear admiral joined RSA, the security division of EMC, after 31 years of military service.
Prior to RSA, he held the position of director for interdepartmental cybersecurity coordination at the Department of Homeland Security, where he led collaboration efforts with the Defense Department on cybersecurity planning, capabilities development and mission synchronization.
He is also a former deputy assistant secretary for cybersecurity and communications at DHS and assistant deputy director of the Joint Interagency Task Force at the Office of the Director of National Intelligence.
Brown graduated with a Master of Science degree in systems engineering from the Naval Postgraduate School and a Master of Arts degree in national and strategic studies from the Naval War College.
