ITT Corp. will sponsor an event in China aimed at building up engineering talent in the country’s manufacturing and engineering industry.
The company is partnering with the Science and Technology Daily and TusPark Co. Ltd. for the engineering talent development program and innovation competition, ITT said Thursday.
Jing Yang, league secretary of Science and Technology Daily, said the ITT Engineering Talent Development Program is intended support the growth of young engineering in China.
“By fully leveraging the “think tanks†– such as entrepreneurs, scholars and media – we aim to provide Chinese young engineers and small and medium engineering businesses with a global vision and market vitality under the circumstances where China is undergoing economic transformation and the upgrade of manufacturing industries,” Yang added.
Goals of the program include sharing of knowledge and best practices with students on training and guidance about innovation and research and development.
