Allegheny‘s technologies unit has inked two long-term pricing agreements with General Dynamics worth a combined $75 million to serve as a preferred supplier of titanium plate components to be used on U.S. and U.K. military vehicles.
ATI said Thursday it will deliver components for the U.S. military’s Abrams main battle tank through 2019 and supply titanium plates for the U.K. Ajax armored vehicles until 2021.
Rich Harshman, chairman, president and CEO at ATI, said the company will work with General Dynamics Land Systems to create specialty materials and components that can offer protection for military vehicles.
Harshman said the LTPAs represent the company’s capacity to provide clients with technologies, broad manufacturing services and operational reliability.
Work will occur at the company’s facilities in Richland, Washington and Washington, Pennsylvania.
