PreTalen has received a $23.9 million U.S. Air Force contract to develop an automated platform to analyze wireless communications systems under the third phase of the service branch’s Small Business Innovation Research III program.
The company will aim to update the features of a Position Navigation and Time Autonomous Negotiator Applying Cognitive Effects-Based Analysis system developed through an SBIR Phase II contract, the Defense Department said Friday.
DoD noted the company will modify the PANACEA system to include a signals-based testing framework designed to help research engineers detect vulnerabilities and defects within a wireless communications system.
The Air Force Research Laboratory awarded the contract after a competitive acquisition process.
Dayton, Ohio-based PreTalen is scheduled to complete the project by March 30, 2023.
PreTalen offers space, navigation, electronic warfare and cybersecurity systems engineering support services.
