Iron Mountain has opened an information management facility in Wichita, Kansas, that will offer document storage and shredding to enterprise customers.
The 22,000-square-foot building is designed to store up to 350,000 storage boxes to support businesses in south Central Kansas, Iron Mountain said Wednesday.
Jim Dodson, senior vice president and general manager of Iron Mountain’s records management business, said the company picked Wichita as the location of its new facility to serve local customers and grow the company’s presence in the state.
Kansan Sen. Oletha Faust-Goudeau, State Representative Ponka-We Victors, Sedgwick County Commissioner Richard Ranzau and Vice Mayor Janet Miller attended a ribbon-cutting ceremony to mark the opening of Iron Mountain’s records management facility.
The company also provides records storage, data management, shredding, document imaging and data center services through its underground and above-ground facilities in Kansas City.
