A Leidos subsidiary has secured a potential five-year, 15 million contract from the Labor Department to hire clinicians who will serve as contract medical consultants under an occupational illness benefits program for current and former Energy Department employees.
QTC Management will also help maintain the quality of medical review results under DOL’s Division of Energy Employees Occupation Illness Compensation initiative through quality control measures such as case screening, internal auditing and workload analysis, Leidos said Thursday.
QTC President Grant Kim said the company’s CMC physicians will provide required services to support DEEOIC’s claims management and adjudication activities.
DEEOIC is part of the Office of Workers’ Compensation Programs and is designed to deliver occupational illness benefits authorized under the Energy Employees Occupational Illness Compensation Program Act.
The contract has a one-year base period and four one-year options.
