airport towerRockwell Collins and Nippon Automated Cargo and Port Consolidated System have inked a strategic agreement to offer border security services to Japan.

The companies seek to integrate NACCS Center’s electronic processing of inbound and outbound cargo and passenger data and Rockwell Collins’ ARINC border management system in an effort to help Japanese government officials review passenger information, Rockwell Collins said Thursday.

The partnership’s goal is to help customs and other administrative authorities identify high-risk individuals before they enter Japan.

Christopher Mackey, director of program management at Rockwell Collins, said the company seeks to provide government customers access to passenger name record data with technology.

ARINC uses information in the database of an airline’s computer reservation system comprised of the itinerary for passengers.
