Engineering and Computer Simulations has received two contracts from the U.S. Army Research Laboratory to research, build and demonstrate simulation and training technologies.
The Simulation, Training and Engineering Services initiative aims to create training and simulation systems intended to adapt to varying Army requirements over time, ECS said Friday.
ECS will produce simulation platforms for medical and squad and small-team research purposes under the contracts.
Waymon Armstrong, CEO of ECS, said the training system could be based on a platform the company already developed for another client or military Program of Record.
