QTS has attained the Payment Card Industry’s Data Security Standard version 3.1 information security certification and attestation of compliance for the company’s colocation services at its data center in Dallas, Texas.
The company said Monday the certification makes the Dallas-Fort Worth data center its fourth PCI DSS v3.1 compliant center.
QTS added it implemented a network architecture designed to address more than 100 PCI DSS policy, procedures and control requirements for applications, systems and network infrastructure that work to secure information.
“With cloud storage and colocation continuing to grow, it is essential that companies select a service provider that adheres to strict compliance requirements to protect their customers’ data,” said Travis Wright, QTS site director.
QTS received the PCI DSS v3.1 report on compliance and AOC for Dallas-Fort Worth colocation services from a Qualified Security Assessor.
The company said it will work to keep all PCI DSS certified centers up to date with the upcoming PCI DSS v3.2 standard.
PCI DSS is an international information security standard set up by the Payment Card Industry’s security standards council that aims to mitigate the risk of fraud and data breach.
QTS also received authorization from the government for its Dallas-Fort Worth data center for compliance with the Federal Information Security Management Act data security standards.
