CGI has led the implementation of a California Franchise Tax Board information technology modernization project that has achieved $2.6 billion in revenue over five years.
The IT and business process services company said Thursday the Enterprise Data to Revenue project aims to update FTB’s customer service, revenue generation and organizational transparency.
Dave Delgado, a senior vice president at CGI, said the company provided a system that serves to deliver a single payer view to address tax collection issues as well as workflow and analytics tools to assist operations.
CGI worked to provide data and business rules management services to support the annual processing of approximately 16 million personal income tax forms.
The company said it also helped develop a consolidated view of FTB folders and systems to aid taxpayer self-service.
CGI is in the final year of the performance-based contract that utilizes the company’s “benefits-funding” model in which FTB did not issue funds until revenue is collected.
FTB aims to receive $2.9 billion in revenue by the end of 2016 through the EDR program, CGI noted.
