A consortium of Fluor, Heijmans Capital and 3i Infrastructure has been selected to design, build and manage a potential $245 million public-private partnership motorway project in the Netherlands.
The 3Angle consortium will also perform financing and maintenance work on the A27/A1 motorway project and is scheduled to complete work in 2019, Fluor said Thursday.
The project seeks to reduce traffic congestion in both A27 and A1 motorways through the expansion of the highway from two to up to four lanes.
3Angle will maintain and manage the highway infrastructure over a 25-year period as part of the agreement.
Fluor and Heijmans will also take part in the operation as well as in the engineering, procurement, and construction phases of the A27/A1Â project.
Each of the three companies has a 33.3 percent share in the consortium.
