A Textron Systems subsidiary has received a potential one-year, $35 million contract to continue to provide intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance support services for the U.S. Special Operations Command through mid-endurance unmanned aerial systems.
The sole-source, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract awarded to AAI Corp. has a base term of six months and six option months and contains cost reimbursable and firm-fixed-price line items, the Defense Department said Wednesday.
SOCOM will obligate $35 million from operations and maintenance funds for fiscal 2016 at the time of award.
DoD said the command made the award in an effort to facilitate continuation of ISR services at various locations worldwide until a follow-on contract goes through a competitive acquisition process.
