Globecomm has received multiple contracts worth a combined $7 million to provide various configurations of its Summit and Explorer pre-engineered satellite communications terminals to customer agencies.
The company said Thursday the General Services Administration‘s office of integrated technology services has also extended its spot on the Schedule 70 contract vehicle for five more years to offer its satcom products and services to public sector organizations.
Globecomm added majority of its terminals are certified by the Army Forces Strategic Command to operate with the Defense Department‘s Wideband Global Satcom constellation.
Summit stations are built with electronics that can integrate with the antenna or within separate shelters or buildings while Explorer mobile antennas are designed to support applications across the military, government, institutions and businesses.
Summit fixed earth-station antennas range from sub-meter to 16.1 meter configurations while Explorer terminals feature sizes that span from sub-meter up to 4.9 meters, Globecomm noted.
