Serco Group has received a $7 million contract from Germany’s air force to provide 10 sets of test kits for the country’s fleet of Eurofighters.
The company said Wednesday its General Purpose Support Equipment will work to allow the German air force to test release units, pylons, launchers and other related components through measurement hardware and open architecture.
Simon Bailey, Serco information support capability director, said the company’s test systems have supported armed forces and defense companies across the UK, Australia and Saudi Arabia.
Deliveries will occur in the next 14 months, Serco said.
Britain’s air force has used the GPSE equipment for its fleets of Hawk, Tornado and Typhoon jets.
