Versar has landed a $47.8 million contract modification from the Federal Aviation Administration to provide continued physical security design and implementation support under the Security System Design and Integration program.
The company said Wednesday the original contract was awarded to the former Johnson Controls Security Systems, which Versar acquired from Johnson Controls in 2015 and renamed as Versar Security Systems.
Versar added that the contract modification also requires VSS to support the migration of FAA’s physical security systems onto the IT Enterprise infrastructure.
The award extends the original contract through a two-year base period and two six-month option periods.
