The U.S. General Services Administration is searching for industry and government partners to provide input and feedback for a cloud computing products and services contract under development for defense and civilian agencies.
GSA’s Cloud Computing Services Program Management Office has started to develop a multiple-award indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contract called Cloud Contract Fostering Innovation in Government, the agency said Monday.
The agency conducted an analysis of government cloud computing and IT contracts and found out that no contract provided scope, flexibility and adaptability to address the changing cloud technology landscape and security standards set under Defense Department Cloud Computing Security Requirements Guide.
GSA also has asked insight from both vendors and purchasers in the development of a scope for the Cloud ConFIG contract.
