Harris Corp. will supply Falcon III tactical radios to an unnamed country in Africa under an $11 million contract.
The contract covers the Harris-built RF-7800H-MPÂ manpack radio, RF-7850M-HH handheld radio and the RF-7800V-HH VHF Combat Net Radio, Harris said Tuesday.
The unnamed African country placed the order as part of its communications modernization program, the company added.
Chris Young, president of Harris’ communication systems business, said the radios will work to support the client’s demand for high-bandwidth transmission of voice and data during military missions.
