Quality Associates Inc. has received a $5 million task order from the Department of Health and Human Services to convert the Office of Medicare Hearings and Appeals’ paper documents to digital format.
QAI will work to scan the backlog of files at OMHA and transform them into the PDF type of file in order to preserve the paper documents for future retrieval, the company said Thursday.
Scott Swidersky, executive director at QAI, said the company will provide document capture and electronic content management services to help OMHA achieve operational efficiency and compliance.
QAI will also provide labor, materials, hardware, software and document logistics to OMHA.
