The Defense Information Systems Agency has tasked OPSWAT to deploy the company’s Metascan multi-scanning tool in the Joint Regional Security Stack to bolster the security of Defense Department networks.
OPSWAT said Thursday Metascan will support InQuest‘s network session inspection and analysis technology to build up JRSS’ malware detection capability.
InQuest CTO Pedram Amini noted that the file analysis tool features a threat-scoring engine and integrates Metascan’s on-premise intelligence function.
Metascan will work to detect network security threats on DoD networks through 16 anti-malware engines sourced externally.
