combat rescue helicopterAdams Communication & Engineering Technologies has selected Erickson to refurbish two U.S. Navy MH-53E Sea Dragon helicopters.

Erickson will restore the MH-53E helicopters to service as part of the Navy’s heavy lift helicopter program, Erickson said Tuesday.

The subcontract contains a one-year base period and another optional year, and the company will perform work at its Medford, Oregon-based facilities.

“Erickson is pleased to partner with ACET in support of this project,” said Jeff Roberts, president and CEO of Erickson.

The Navy uses the Sikorsky-built MH-53E Sea Dragon to conduct critical defense and rescue operations.
