Louis Berger has been awarded a $2.7 million contract to provide environmental research, assessment, certification and licensing services for the first phase of an 85-mile power distribution system modernization effort in New York.
The New York Power Authority seeks to rebuild electric transmission lines that run between St. Lawrence and Lewis counties through the Strengthening Moses-Adirondack with Resilient Technology Path initiative, Louis Berger said Monday.
The company will also collaborate with other regulatory agencies, support community outreach efforts and provide testimony under the contract.
Haley & Aldrich and Environmental Solutions & Innovations serve as Louis Berger’s consulting partners for the effort.
New York launched the SMART Path initiative as part of strategy to modernize power grid systems and increase energy business investments in the state.
