DigitalGlobe and Intelescope Solutions have forged a partnership that aims to help Intelescope’s forestry industry clients evaluate the health and volumes of commercial timber through the use of satellite imagery-based information.
Intelescope will use the DigitalGlobe-built Geospatial Big Data tool to run its proprietary algorithms against large volumes of satellite imagery in order to deliver insights for land owners, timber investment management organizations and other industry customers, DigitalGlobe said Tuesday.
Adam Messer, CEO of Intelescope Solutions, said the company will work to leverage DigitalGlobe’s big data platform and satellite imagery to help customers manage timber assets, as well as preserve and optimize forest resources.
Intelescope Solutions provides analytic services for the forestry sector and runs offices in Connecticut and Brazil and a research and development facility in Israel.
