The Henry M. Jackson Foundation for the Advancement of Military Medicine will provide research equipment to the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences as part of a $18.26 million task order.
The Defense Department said Friday the order includes a magnetic resonance imaging system, a super resolution microscope and other equipment.
USUHS plans to install the equipment in its biomedical instrumentation center, genome sequencing center and radiology department.
HJF will deliver and install the equipment at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center and USUHS facilities through Jan. 12, 2016, DoD added.
DoD said task order award falls under a previously-awarded indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract.
