BAE Systems will provide support and training on the Falcon secure communications system to U.K. military personnel over the next four and a half years under a $10 million contract with the U.K. defense ministry.
The company said Monday the new contract follows the initial training program for the conversion of the U.K. army and air force’s legacy communications system to Falcon.
Falcon delivers broadband connectivity and supports voice, data and video communications for deployed personnel.
BAE added that it will work with Babcock to provide the training infrastructure and staff as well as manage the training development for the Falcon system.
The Falcon training program is available through the Defense School of Communications and Information Systems, said Col. Matt Fensom, DSCIS’ commandant.
