Microsoft has received a U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development authorization under the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program to offer a cloud-based customer relationship management platform in the government sector.
The authority-to-operate approval is for the company’s Dynamics CRM Online Government product suite, Bob Stutz, corporate vice president of Microsoft Dynamics CRM, said Wednesday.
The company designed its CRM offering with case management and single sign-on tools, according to Stutz.
Microsoft aims to help government agencies manage business applications in a cloud environment as well as comply with data security policies through the platform.
Stutz added agencies can integrate the technology with existing on-premise applications and extend the platform to comply with line-of-business application requirements.
